SK Group has been conducting new office experiments using Seorin Building as a base camp since 2018. Since the adventures of large organizations like SK Group affect the way many workers work, this experiment can be said to be an indicator that the DNA of domestic companies that have remained in place is fundamentally changing.
The main focus of this project is to create communities and places that work efficiently beyond just beautiful spaces. With the development of smart devices and cloud technology, people were no longer bothered by space, but had a desire to work in a more beautiful space, and we tried to solve it as space. Overall, it provides freedom and comfort that cannot be felt in the general office space.
The 20th to 22nd floors have each concepts of Thinking & Healing, Fun & Joy, and Active & Health, respectively, and details are tailored to each topic. Dark wood finishes and dark lights create a calm atmosphere, or warm wood colors and curved walls make you feel comfortable. In addition, perforated metal louvers, container objects, exposed concrete paints, terrazo floor finishes, and LED lights are variously designed to suit the characteristics of each space. We also paid attention to the contrast of each space. For example, the container room on the 21st floor is intentionally arranged so that you can enter only after passing through a forest-like conference room and a corridor with wood tone furniture, allowing people to feel tension and harmony between warm-looking trees and cold iron.
As working hours decrease, companies are struggling to increase their workers' work efficiency and concentration. It induces communication by properly mixing and arranging spaces such as static and independent spaces that increase concentration, public spaces where various members can collaborate and work together, rest areas where they can relax, and intermediate areas between all these areas. The shared space in the office was intended to be expressed as a space where people working in different specialized fields can create positive synergy by mixing in a free and comfortable atmosphere. Today, the office itself will be a hospitality for people.
SK그룹은 지난 2018년부터 서린빌딩을 베이스캠프 삼아 새로운 오피스 실험을 벌이고 있다. SK 그룹과 같이 몸집 큰 조직의 모험은 수많은 근로자들의 일의 방식에 영향을 미치기 때문에 이번 실험은 그동안 제 자리에 머물러 있던 국내 기업들의 DNA가 근본적으로 변화하고 있음을 보여주는 지표라고 할 수 있다.
이번 프로젝트의 주안점은 단순히 아름다운 공간을 넘어, 효율적으로 일하는 커뮤니티와 장소를 만들고자 한 것이다. 스마트기기와 클라우드 기술이 발달하면서 사람들은 더 이상 공간에 구애를 받지 않고, 더 아름다운 공간에서 일하고자 하는 욕구를 가지게 되었고, 이를 공간으로 풀어내고자 하였다. 전체적으로 기존의 사무 공간에서 느낄 수 없는 자유로움과 편안함을 선사한다.
20~22층은 층별로 각각 ‘Thinking & Healing’, ‘Fun & Joy’, ‘Active & Healthy’라는 콘셉트를 갖고 있는데 각 주제에 맞게 디테일을 연출했다. 짙은 우드 마감재와 어두운 조명으로 차분한 분위기를 조성한다거나 따뜻한 우드 컬러와 곡면벽으로 편안함을 느낄 수 있도록 한 것이다. 이밖에도 타공 메탈 루버, 컨테이너 오브제, 노출 콘크리트 페인트, 테라조 바닥마감, LED 조명 등을 각 공간의 특색에 맞게 다양하게 연출했다. 각 공간의 대비에도 신경을 썼다. 예를 들어 21층의 컨테이너 룸은 의도적으로 숲 속 느낌이 나는 회의실과 우드 톤 가구가 배치되어 있는 복도를 지나야 진입할 수 있도록 배치했는데 따뜻한 느낌의 나무와 차가운 철 사이의 상반된 물성이 긴장감과 조화를 동시에 느낄 수 있도록 한다.
근무 시간이 줄어들면서 기업들은 구성원들의 업무 효율성과 집중력을 높이는 데 골몰하고 있다. 집중력을 높이는 정적이고 독립적인 공간부터 다양한 구성원들이 협업하며 함께 일할 수 있는 공용 공간, 휴식을 취할 수 있는 휴식 공간 그리고 이 모든 영역 사이의 중간 지대와 같은 공간을 적절히 배합하고 배치함으로써 소통을 유도하는 것이다. 오피스 내의 공유 공간은 서로 다른 전문 분야에 일하는 사람들이 자유롭고 편안한 분위기에서 섞이며 긍정적인 시너지를 낼 수 있는 공간으로 표현하고자 하였다. 오늘날 오피스는 그 자체로 일하는 사람들을 위한 호스피탈리티가 될 것이다.
